The Loading Dock - Bistro, Cafe, Market & Catering is seeking a positive, energized individual who is driven to deliver outstanding service in a welcoming, elegant atmosphere. We are a Team first oriented company that succeeds only by the hard work of our exceptional staff. We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, 7 days a week, as well as a full service brunch every Sunday. Our menus feature regionally inspired selections from our the globe.

Essential Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, while ensuring the responsible sale and consumption of alcohol.
  • Knowledge and ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.
  • Demonstrate a complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Provides consistently fast and efficient service to patrons.
  • Know and demonstrate all Standards of Service, Steps of Service, Wine Service and Knowledge, Table and Service Etiquette.
  • Knowledge of the operation of all bar equipment.
  • Demonstrate a thorough and efficient knowledge of computer system.
  • Mixes drinks according to standard recipes/proportions.
  • Collect money and maintain a register.
  • Provide for the timely cleaning and maintenance of all beverage storage and service outlets.
  • Assist in proper storage, and rotation of beverage product.
  • Assure that work area is clean and all food/beverage is handled in compliance with the local health code.
  • Assist all staff in their designated responsibilities to ensure complete guest satisfaction and efficient operation.
  • Assists with all barback duties as necessary and directed.
  • Check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages and following safe drinking guidelines when serving customers.
  • Prepare needed set-up for bar.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of the bar including counting beer, bottled liquor, wine, cups, mixers, sodas, general bar supplies, etc.
  • Inventory all stand sheet items prior to and at the end of each event and initial all bar paperwork.
  • Calculate cash at the end of shift and return bank to the cash room.
  • Any other task assigned by management will be considered part of the job.
  • Opening and closing duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.


  • Must be able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment, be a self-motivator and have good communication skills.
  • Will spend majority of time walking, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and carrying. Must be able to lift. Must be able to spend entire shift on their feet.
